2) Be able to adjust your ride height
3) To increase the strength of them for you Baja Bug and Dune Buggy folks

There are also three styles to chose from;
Chrome, Heavy Duty and Adjustable

Please make sure you determine the length of your torsion bars when ordering.
Torsion bars came in three lengths for Air Cooled Beetles
Short – 21 3/4 inches The torsion cap does not have a hole in it.
Medium – 24 11/16 inches
Long – 26 9/16 inches The torsion tube sticks out 6 inches from the spring plate.
