German vs Brazilian Parts

I have always wondered about this topic. Here are my thoughts and please follow it up. Here at Chirco we do a lot of mail order business where we only speak to our customers on the phone and never see their cars. They call up and ask for some basic part say a master cylinder or a wheel cylinder and we have the parts in both German and a Brazilian make. The German one cost sometimes twice the money and probably should last twice as long. So we ask if they would like the German or Brazilian and of course the next question is how much.
We answer with the Brazil one is $x.xx and the German one is $x.xx x 2. Sure enough 50% of the customers choose one or the other. Please share you thought on the benefits of purchasing either German or Brazilian.
