Around 5 years ago, Empi started producing their own version of the IDF Weber carburetor and call it the HPMX. At first the carbs struggled and had some problems with being able to adjust them. Now that Empi is on the 5th generation of their carbs and the bugs have been worked out, they have a quality product at what is a very reasonable price. These carbs are all designed to use the same replacement parts as the Webers and use all the same main, idle and air jets for tuning. So if you are in the market, take a gander at these beauties. The kits come in 40 and 44’s, 48 and 51’s, progressives, ICT and brossels.
