January 7, 2020UncategorizedWe recently got this very solid 1965 VW sedan from one of our customers, They were the original owners that purchased the car new in 1965 here in Tucson, The car still has the original engine and transaxle, The factory black paint still shows very well on the inside of the car, The out side was painted back in the 80’s. The body is very straight with no signs of any major body work, the front apron does have a little wrinkle on one side around the bumper brackets, Very little but want to be clear. The interior was also done back when the car was painted, and it screams 80’s, Still in pretty good shape, We did rebuild the carb, replace all the fuel lines, flush the tank, ect, The car runs and drives great, no rattles just nice and quite. it puts a smile on your face, The car was parked and last registered on 2007, It does have a small puff of smoke when first started that i do think will clear up with some miles put on it, Please feel free to give me a call with any questions, 1-520-722-1984 or my cell 520-247-0092 [...]

November 11, 2019UncategorizedThis photo shows the factory cabinets, they are really solid, We did replace a few pieces of wood that needed replacing. This photo shows the factory tent, it is all original and has all the factory polls, The tent is in near perfect condition. The bottom of the side doors has a bit of rust. the structure is solid. This photo shows how solid the floor is under the bed, We removed the entire interior and cleaned everything and replaced all the upholstery. This photo shows how clean and solid it is under the ice box, we also replaced the base wood and carpet. It shows very nice.   The 1600cc engine has a full new top end on it, New pistons and cylinders, rebuilt heads, media blasted and painted sheet metal, and a full new factory exhaust system.   Included is the factory VW Bus jack and factory tools as well as the original tool pouch.   This 1966 Volkswagen Camper is in pristine condition. We’ve got an Arizona bus here. You know that saying…it’s a dry heat…yup, that means this puppy is dang near rust free! This bus has been completely gone through front, back, inside and outside. The new owner of this bus is going to be able to start camping the second it hits their front door. The engine has been gone through. It has a brand new set of VW pistons and cylinders, we have rebuilt the VW heads and an all new original VW Bus exhaust system was installed. This thing runs and drives like a Cadillac. We went ahead and replaced the VW Bus fuel tank and replaced all fuel lines. Brakes have all been replaced as well. We made sure all lights and wipers are working as they should. The upholstery for the inside of this bus has all been re-upholstered and is in perfect condition. The bed in the back is ready to be slept on. You won’t find another bus like this one! Also Has the factory tent that is in amazing condition. New Upholstery Rebuilt Engine Some Sheet Metal replaced A bit of paint touch up (not to loose the patina) All New Curtains Some Cabinet wood Replaced Removed the entire interior to clean and detail. October 31, 2019VW BeetleThe rarest Volkswagen Beetle is the Zwitter, which was manufactured and produced from October of 1952 up until March of 1953, and is most commonly known for its split window on the rear of the car,. The car halted production because the split window in the back was found to be compromising the vision of drivers. More About The Rarest Volkswagen Beetle It’s no secret in the classic Volkswagen community that pre-1968 production beetles command the strongest interest among collectors due to their diversity and design. They were built from quality materials and illicit a sense of patriotism even though the car was built and shipped from Germany. However, one particular model, is dubbed the rarest Volkswagen beetle ever and may be the most sought after: the 1952 Zwitter (Short from Zwitter Kafer or Hybrid Beetle). It was produced from October of 1952 up until March of 1952 and featured a 30HP, 1,131 air-cooled four cylinder boxer engine, four wheel independent suspension and of course – the oval dash split window. Split-window Beetles were manufactured and sold between the years of 1948 and 1952. They are considered and always will be the “Purist Design” as it pertains to the Volkswagen beetle. To the purist, Beetles today represent nothing that they once did and are a long shot from what enthusiasts consider a quality manufactured production vehicle. Because of that, individuals who own classic VW Beetle owners do everything they can to retain the cars original aesthetics and build quality! If you’re looking for quality parts for your Beetle, make sure to check out our store today! [...]
October 22, 2019UncategorizedChirco’s VW Bugtoberfest 2019 was awesome, The red barn camp out started on Friday, had a band on Saturday, and a hangover on Sunday…. lol The Bus mob is great and they always have fun, The cruise to the BBQ on Saturday was so much fun and pretty much stayed grouped together. The food was great and the people that attended were chatting it up with each other. On Sunday the show started at 8:00 with swap meet vendors starting a bit earlier, Flash light VW parts hunting was going on to find the treasures. We had awards for the top ten VW’s selected by the peoples choice. We also had best engine,  won by JR Peters, best paint was presented to Andy Marshall , and best interior went to Ed Kaiser, And Best of show was won by Levi Weir. I would like to give a big shout to out show BBQ Sponsor Larry H Miller VW for their continued support for the VW hobby, Raffle prizes were donated by EMPI, Snap On Tools, DPR Machine, Pacific Parts International, Chirco Performance and Restoration. Looking forward to 2020 that will be Bugtoberfest 25 we have some special things planed for the silver milestone. Stay tuned for other happengs at Chirco Performance and Restoration. [...]
