Chirco carries two different types of vw dune buggy and vw sand rail starters. We carry a 12V starter and a 6V starter. Both starters are completely brand new and all come with the starter bushing that installs directly into the Volkswagen transaxle housing. When replacing the starter in your sand rail or dune buggy, you may way to grab the starter bolt so you don't have to hold the head with a wrench. The starter bolt locks into the little notch on the starter which eliminates the need for the wrench. The starter bushing is important if you are looking to use a 12V VW starter in a 6V early transmission.
